Capital Market Advisor (CMA)

Position Summary

The Capital Markets Advisor (CMA) will solicit and originate loans for commercial real estate on behalf of the Company. The CMA will use independent analysis, decision making skills and discretion to develop productive broker and/or other intermediary relationships to drive loan volume. The CP is responsible for business development, quality loan submissions, management of the companies CRM and all aspects of their respective loan pipeline.

Essential Duites and Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Cultivate and develop relationships with commercial real estate owners and developers.Consistently generate and maintain a quality pipeline of transactions in order to meet production requirements.
  • Travel as needed to deliver with sales presentations and/or provide presentations by phone.
  • Analysis: Understanding of real estate and finance fundamentals. Recommend transactions based on solid knowledge of local markets, real estate and the borrower.
  • Marketing: Assist in the development of the marketing plan that allows for the greatest market penetration in the assigned territory.
  • Join Civic organizations that welcome Commercial Mortgage partnersand other industry related conferences.
  • Facilitate Diligence and Closing. Provide initial pricing guidance to the customer. Coordinate the submission and collection of required documentation with the borrower, broker and the credit team to underwrite and close a transaction.
  • Customer Service: Represent the Company with honesty and integrity while delivering high levels of customer service to both our external and internal partners.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry and competition
  • Regularly attend external professional development opportunities (educational, networking, etc.)
  • Regularly read industry and market-related publications

Qualifications:

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • The ideal candidate will have minimum of five years related experience and/or training in commercial real estate lending
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with limited supervision
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Must have the ability to remain flexible and meet deadlines under pressure with little supervision

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred. At least 3-5 years of successful field sales experience or equivalent.
